The Hills Around Lima

Unlike in Utah where the rich people live up in the hills, here in Lima the hills are where the poor people live, and their homes are usually drab brown in color. That is, except for an area called Rimac where the houses and apartment buildings are brightly colored. Here's Scott's picture taken from the highway.

That picture reminded me of Legos, or the colorful Lego candy. Pretty cool!

I stumbled across your blog trying to figure out if the Church has build the new area offices by the Lima MTC. I served in the La Molina Vieja Ward late 2002-early 2003 (President Lyons years) and was happy to recognize many of the members still in the ward. I also finished in Tarma. It was great seeing the pictures, and I hope I can return to Peru someday as a missionary with my wife.
